How to make Budbutter or Cannabutter, 3 Simple Recipes

This instructional cannabis video demonstration is how to make yummy cannabutter using 3 simple methods the sauce pan, the crockpot, and the double boiler. Whether a certified medical marijuana kitchen or a simple cannabis kitchenette, no cannabis kitchen is complete without a good budbutter recipe.

This video also demonstrates how to clarify butter and decarboxylate marijuana . The decarboxylating process may also be used when making concentrates and extracts as well as edibles. The ratios, recipes and cooking times are all listed below.

CROCKPOT
1lb Butter 1oz Weed (Decarbed in the video)
2 Cups Water
Simmer on Low 8hrs
Melt butter in Crockpot on low. Once butter is melted ad in water and weed. Stir a couple times in the first 3 hours. Simmer on low at least 8 hours. Simmer 12 hours for more potent butter. Simmer 5 hours for less potent butter.
Strain contents through cheesecloth into glass bowl. Place bowl in fridge overnight. Capture butter and scrape residue off butter disc. Store and use like butter.

SAUCEPAN
1oz weed
1lb Butter
3 or 4 cups Water
Bring 3 or 4 cups of water to a boil like you were preparing to boil noodles. Add in butter and maintain boil, stirring until butter is melted then reduce to simmer. Add in weed or weed quib (bud burrito). Stir well. Simmer 3 hours.
Strain contents through cheesecloth into glass bowl. Place bowl in fridge overnight. Capture separated butter and scrape residue off of disc. Use and store like butter.

DOUBLE BOILER
1lb butter
1oz weed
1 cup of water
Bring water in boiler pan to a boil and melt butter then reduce to simmer. Add in weed or weed quib (bud burrito) and 1 cup of water. Simmer 4 to 8 hours. Strain contents into glass bowl through cheese cloth. Place bowl in fridge overnite, capture butter disc and scrape off residue. Use and store like butter.
